🌟 Introduction: Why Use This Extension?

 

This extension is designed for high-efficiency, instant analysis and response generation for complex web content using your ChatGPT API. We offer two powerful analysis modes and integrate strict authorization and cost control mechanisms to keep your work focused and secure.

 

🛡️ Part I: First-Time Setup and Authorization (Crucial!)

 

Before you begin, you must complete five essential parameter settings.

 

Step 1: Access the Settings Interface

 

  1. Right-click on your AI Plus extension icon in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser.
  2. Select “Set ChatGPT Parameters and Authorization”.

 

Step 2: Fill in the Settings Parameters

 

In the pop-up settings window, please fill out the following fields:

Field Name Description Note
OpenAI API Key Your personal or team OpenAI API key (sk-...). [Warning] This key will be used to pay for all Token costs.
Model Name Recommended models are gpt-3.5-turbo or gpt-4o. gpt-4 models have higher costs.
System Role Prompt Defines the AI’s role, tone, and format for the analysis report. E.g., “You are a professional business analyst, please generate five key takeaways.”
Your Contact Email Your Email address. Used by the service administrator for renewals, critical notices, etc. Crucial: Your password and email will be used for authorization registration.
Authorization Password The dedicated password you obtained from the service administrator. Used to enable the service and bind your access.

 

Step 3: Save and Activate Service

 

  1. Confirm that all fields are filled out correctly.
  2. Click the “Save Settings and Close” button.
  3. Upon saving, the system will attempt to register your Email and Password with the service backend.
  4. If authorization is successful, the extension is ready for use.

❗ Note: Your access is typically tied to the IP address used during the initial setup.

 

💻 Part II: Two Content Analysis Modes

 

The extension provides two analysis modes. Please choose based on your needs.

 

Mode 1: Full Webpage Content Analysis (Icon Click)

 

This mode extracts all visible text on the webpage for comprehensive analysis.

  1. Open the webpage you wish to analyze.
  2. Left-click the AI Plus extension icon.
  3. 【Cost Management Warning】: If the webpage content exceeds the Token Warning Threshold (set in the background code), a warning will pop up.
    • Click OK to proceed.
    • Click Cancel to terminate the operation.
  4. Once the analysis is complete, the report will automatically download as a [Analysis Report]xxx.txt file.

 

Mode 2: Precise Selected Text Analysis (Right-Click Menu)

 

This mode only analyzes the text you manually select (Token Saver).

  1. Select the text you want to analyze on the webpage with your mouse.
  2. Right-click on the selected text.
  3. Choose “Analyze Selected Text with AI (Token Saver)”.
  4. If the selected content is excessively long, the system will also issue a warning.
  5. Once the analysis is complete, the report will automatically download as a [Selected Analysis]xxx.txt file.
